Starting at Mercer Union Centre for Contemporary Art on Bloor at Lansdowne, three art writers and editors including Katie Bethune-Leamen, Amish Morrell and Gabrielle Moser led a five-gallery 5k running tour to some of the galleries in and around Toronto’s Junction Triangle. Exhibitions reviewed included "Beloved Martina..." by artist Carlos Motta with works by Arisley da Dilone, Pidgeon Pagonis and Del LaGrace Volcano, at Mercer Union; "Isla Santa Maria 3D" by Oliver Husain at Gallery TPW; "Semiotics Aside & The Collage Party" by Paul Butler at Division Gallery; "Fragments of an Imagined Place" by Elise Rasmussen at ESP | Erin Stump Projects, and "Never Letting us Take Breath" by Lee Henderson at Zalucky Contemporary. A downtown 90-minute three-gallery 4k was led by Christine Atkinson, Allison Cooley and Amish Morrell, and reviewed Raymond Boisjoly "Over a Distance Between One and Many” at the Koffler Gallery; Davida Nemeroff "Connective Tissue" at 8-11 Gallery; Annie MacDonell "Holding Still // Holding Together" and "Scotiabank Photography Award: Angela Grauerholz" at the Ryerson Image Centre.
